Thirukkural, or shortly the Kural, is a classic Tamil language text consisting of 1,330 short couplets, or kurals, of seven words each. An all-inclusive ethical guide, the Tirukkural commends to the reader a feeling of compassion for all individuals, regardless of caste or creed.
